I took this picture while on photographic safari in Kenya. Oryx is a beautiful antelope with distinctive straight horns. They could be found on dry open bush and short grass savanna, often very far from water.Their sight is very keen. Live in heard of 6 to 40 head or more often associating with zebras. Their sharp horns are very effective weapons when they lower their head between the forelegs

Nyilt száraz bozotos és füves szavannákon él, sokszor távol ivó viztõl. Nagyon éles látású. 6-40 fõs csoportokban vándorol rendszerint zebrákkal együtt. Gyürüs, hegyes, egyenes szarvaik kiváló fegyver ha lehajtják fejüket elsõ lábaik közé.
