Fog in France 1974

My two sons have fond memory of Mont Saint Michel. We spent a whole memorable day there. Mont Saint Michel Benedictine abbey became UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

The abbey was built between the 11th and 16th centuries, perched on a rocky islet in the midst of vast sandflats exposed to powerful tides between Normandy and Brittany it is a superb achievement of Gothic architecture.
